Today the club hosted approx 200 people for the funeral service of Marlene Jane who has been a member since 1968.
This is believed to be the first funeral service held at the club and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all members for the support to enable the club to give a very special send off.
Special thanks to all members who attended, to the Scroungers for assisting in car pooling and support of car parking, to the many members assisting in resetting the tables immediately following the service to enable everyone to celebrate the life of Marlene.
And lastly, to all the staff for proudly representing the club giving the attention to detail and service provided throughout the afternoon for all guests.
It is days like today that should make all members extremely proud to be a part of this club for what it provides to so many.

Bunbury Golf Club regretfully advises the sudden passing of Bunbury Golf Club Member, Marlene Jane.
Marlene has been a member for more than 55 years having first joined in 1968. Marlene loved her golf and the club as it has been such a large part of her life and family with her husband and Life Member Clive Jane who has been a member at the club since the club was established at Clifton Park.
Not only will Marlene be missed by so many members, she has also been involved with the more recently formed Sewing Club since it was established in 2018.
Marlene was loved by everyone and was one of the true Ladies of our club.
Our thoughts are with Clive and the family at this time.
Members are invited to attend a funeral service being held at the club which will be followed by a wake in celebration of Marlene’s life.
