Bar Report – April

Published on 4th April 2023 in Members News

The month of march has been and gone and it was a busy one! Golfers and functions left, right and centre. As always we at the clubhouse thank you for your continued patronage and friendly smiles.

Starting off I would just like to give everyone a friendly reminder that if you borrow an esky for the course that you please return it to the bar at the end of your round. It is a service we aspire to provide in the future but they do seem to go walk about quite regularly.

Our craft specials this month included Beer Farm Royal Haze and Colonial Watermelon Raspberry Sour. Both completely opposite ends of the spectrum. One is a deep, complex hazy IPA and the other is a lively refresher sour in which you could be fooled that you’re even drinking a beer in the first place. Another special we offer is the brand new Brookvale Union Ginger and Yuzu. Think if you crossed a ginger beer with a can of solo. Quality and refreshing. Our wines of the month are a couple of bottles we’ve had around the club for a while that seem to be hidden gems. We have Willowbridge Gravel Pit Shiraz, highly rated on James Halliday’s 2022 wines of the year, only 6 bottles remaining. Our others include Skigh Coda Grenache and Tempranillo. Both extremely easy drinking for someone who enjoys something out of the norm.Lastly I’d like everyone to take the time to say hello to our new additions behind the bar. Amy and Tom Streames. A dynamic brother and sister duo that bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and friendly service to our team.
