Members Update – 17th April

Dear Members,

Following feedback from Members and some consistency in our golfing environment some changes will be made with access to timesheets including the restart of competition and score entries. These changes are:

  • All timesheets will now open at 8pm one week in advance ie Wednesday timesheet will open at 8pm on the Wednesday prior.
  • Additional Back 9 tee times (8:30am-3pm) will open 3 days prior ie Wednesday back 9 times will open at 8pm on the Sunday before.
  • PLEASE ENSURE YOU SELECT 9 or 18 holes when booking tee times (a “Turnaround” booking is automatically booked on the second nine -1hr 40min after)
  • A variety of 9 and 18 hole competitions of both single gender and open gender available daily (trialled for 1 week with a review of participation and format to be completed).
  • All booking times are optional for social or competition play. (Note: For competition play – both players must enter a competition)

  • 9 hole comp fee $5.50, 18 hole comp fee $11
  • Both players in the group must enter the comp to be eligible to play.
  • MiScore App scoring preferred – Marker to sign on behalf of the player upon verbal confirmation of final score. Members without a mobile can request a manual card for their playing partner and sign on behalf of the player after verbal confirmation. (NB. Players do not score their own cards)

Competition tee times

  • Daily timesheets are open for optional entry into competition or for social play.
  • 18 hole comp last tee off is 2:30pm (1pm for manual card scorers)
  • 9 holes 4:00pm (2:30pm for manual card scorers)
  • Register for competition entry in the Proshop before play.
  • Comp entry for tee times before 9am are MiScore App scoring only and registration occurs upon selecting playing partner to score before tee off (Payment to be made after 9 or 18 holes).
  • Results will be available on the website daily from 6:30pm including handicapping updates.
  • Prizes will be distributed as per number of entries and determined using the countback system for ties to ensure consistency of prizes allocated.

NOTE: Current access to the course remains as Members only- this will continue to be reviewed weekly based on timesheet bookings available for members.

Other Information

All Members are reminded of the following to help keep our course open and accessible for as many members as possible during these times including:

  • Make sure you comply with government recommendations in regards to health and age warnings.
  • Members only permitted to play (No guests permitted at this stage…)
  • Maximum of 2 players per group at 10min intervals
  • Please do not arrive more than 5 min before tee time (Please wait in your car if arrive earlier)
  • With the reduced tee times, consider playing on other competition days to assist in allowing all members access to tee times.
  • Cart usage is one person and one set of clubs. (Excludes family members living in the same household)
  • Cart hire fees from the pro shop have been reduced – $20 – 18 holes, $15 9 holes
  • No BYO alcohol (Liquor licence regulations)
  • We all must follow social distancing regulations stay 1.5m away from another person –  no excuses!
  • Driving range closed
  • Putting green limited to 2 people at a time
  • At the end of your round go home so we adhere to social gathering regulations.
  • Current local rules with COVID-19 remain in place to reduce the need to touch golf equipment
  • Personal hygiene standards are to be maintained at all times
  • If you feel unwell or develop symptoms that include a fever, cough, runny nose or shortness of breath please stay home

All of these directives make it easier for the Club to control our environment and helps keep us compliant and the course open.

As information continues to change, please make sure you comply with staff instructions when coming to the course and check the website regularly for updates.

And finally, on behalf of management and staff I thank all Members for your continued cooperation and support, including the financial donations received. Furthermore, the members assisting with the many ideas and feedback on how to generate revenue under the current conditions is greatly appreciated. Furthermore, If you would like to help with cashflow… we welcome and encourage all members to deposit into your house accounts via direct debit and utilise for all purchases and sales including comp entries.
